LED Lighted HydrangeaWhen we created this arrangement, we knew we wanted to use LED light strings in some way. So we added them to this beautiful deep teal hydrangea, and, WOW! We then used another light string inside the glass stones, and the entire arrangement created a spectacular blue and green glow. If you want to make this project you will need:

  • ·         Large Silk Hydrangea Stem
  • ·         Smaller Cream Colored Accent Flowers
  • ·         2 Strands of Battery Operated 20 White Light LED String Lights
  • ·         Small Glass Bowl
  • ·         4 Small Bags of Assorted Blue and Green Glass Stones
  • ·         Cream Colored Wire Ribbon

By placing one LED string in with the stones, we were able to hide the battery pack. Just leave the on/off switch just above the glass stones so you can more easily turn them on and off. The second string we wrapped around the hydrangea, down the stem, and again hid the battery pack within the glass stones. The smaller flowers and ribbon helped to hide the wires and added the finishing touch to this lighted arrangement. Place glass or a mirror underneath the arrangement for an amazing effect!

You can also use fresh cut flowers for this arrangement by using submersible tealights in with the glass stones.
